Thanks for Visiting NZ... $25, Thank You.

Yesterday we departed NZ. We dropped quite a bit of tourist dollars in that lovely country and then were wished well with a $25 per person departure fee (adults). Rodney was, as you can imagine, "spittin' chips". Amidst the disgust over the tax, we did have a chuckle at the lucrative business of charging people to leave the country you've enticed them to visit!
We had a bit of a delay leaving Napier in the morning due to rain, but made our connection in Auckland fine. When we arrived in Brisbane, Henry reported to his grandad that he'd been on five airplanes, and we were again amazed and the subconscious computing that he does.
44 Dawson Road is now abuzz with activity. Henry's been digging in the backyard dirt piles with his daddy's old trucks and diggers. Adelaide is reacquainting herself with Auntie Sandra's doll and pram, the chalk board that still had her scribbles on it from the last visit, and trying to get to know her Nana and Grandad again after two years not seeing them. Grace... we'll she's only to bat her lashes and smile her infectious smile and Nana opens her arms or Grandad cooes.
Rodney has had to turn his mind to study again to prepare for the seminars that he is slated to do with John Mackay on Thursday and Friday. John will be presenting the "creation" part of the presentation and Rodney will be presenting the "theology" part. We'll see what we can do about linking the audio of this once it's done. Rodney is also presenting the seminar on gossip that he did at the Impact Conference on Sunday the 17th at Grace Bible Church here in Brisbane where Dad and Mum attend (and where the creation seminars will be held).
Me-- I'm unpacking... again, but looking forward to the time with family and glad to have three weeks to spend together.
I'll write another post about our time in NZ and Rodney can post some photos for you all to see.

Unbelievable...25 bucks just to leave a place! What happens if you don't have the money? Do they keep you in New Zealand forever?!? LOL!

So glad to hear you are with your family, finally! We'll be praying for the conference this week and that you will all be able to unwind and relax soon. Glad to hear the kids are having fun. Maybe they will get to see a koala in the back yard. ;)
